Buns Underdone or Overdone

  • Platen is out of adjustment – Readjust the platen to ensure proper compression. Follow instructions in your owner’s manual.
  • Incorrect platen temperature – Readjust the thermostat for correct temperature. Follow instructions in your owner’s manual.

Toaster Won’t Heat (Power Light Off)

  • No power – Check that the power cord is plugged into the wall outlet.

  • Damaged cord – See if the power cord is damaged and needs to be replaced.
  • Broken power switch – Have the power switch replaced by an authorized technician.
  • Loose power switch connection – The power switch connection will need to be fastened or repaired by an authorized technician.

Buns Get Crushed

  • Stop blocks out of adjustment – Readjust the stop blocks to ensure stock blocks are in the proper place. Follow instructions in your owner’s manual.
  • Damaged bun trays – If the bun tray looks warped, either straighten or replace the bun trays.
  • Improperly cut buns – The buns can get smashed if they’re cut incorrectly. Make sure you buy the correct buns or have your bakery cut them correctly.

Platen Loose

If the platen is loose or wobbly, this means the bolts holding the platen in place are loose. Tighten the bolts.

Platen Won’t Heat

  • No power – Check that the power cord is plugged into the wall outlet.
  • Broken power switch – Have the power switch replaced by an authorized technician.
  • Shorted power board – Contact an authorized technician to replace the power board.
  • Shorted or burned out platen – The platen will need to be checked and/or replaced by an authorized technician.

Bun Done Light Won’t Come on (Speaker Sounds)

If the speaker sounds but the “Bun Done” light doesn’t come on, it means the light has burned out. Have it replaced.

Bun Done Light Won’t Come on (No Speaker Sounds)

  • Broken timer switch – Have the timer switch replaced by an authorized technician.
  • Timer connection shorted on power board – Contact an authorized technician to replace the power board.
  • Timer switch not activating – The actuating bracket should be pushing the timer switch all the way in. Have an authorized technician check and repair the issue, if necessary.

No Display

When the display screen is blank, this means there is a detected fuse. Contact an authorized technician to check the fuse with an ohmmeter and repair the issue, if necessary.

Power Light Off

  • Power cord unplugged – Make sure the power cord is plugged into the wall outlet.
  • Power switch off – Turn the power switch into the ON position.
  • Broken power switch – Have the power switch replaced by an authorized technician.
  • Circuit breaker off – See if the circuit break and reset, if necessary.
  • Loose wiring – Have wire connections checked by an authorized technician. He/she might need to replace the wiring.
