Error code F6 (F25)

There is no traction. The Protherm Lynx gas boiler operates stably and safely if there is good draft in the chimney. Electronics controls that flue gases do not penetrate into the living quarters, and at the time of the occurrence of malfunctions, the traction pneumatic relay stops the unit with error F6 (F25). Here are some reasons why traction becomes weak or it is completely absent. The chimney duct is very narrowed or there are shortcomings during its installation.

There is dirt or frost on the walls from the inside. Exceeding the permissible length of the smoke exhaust duct. Refer to the installation instructions for the proper rules and regulations. Traction sensor damaged. It is recommended to test it and change if necessary. The connections from the control board to the traction air relay are broken. Diagnose the electrical circuit and troubleshoot. The formation of condensate, and at the same time, the pipes are incorrectly connected to the pneumatic relay.

Error code F2

If during the diagnostic process it turns out that there is no moisture on the contacts of the electronic board and the sensor connector, install a new sensor. The sensor circuit connections are shorted, or the fluid temperature is too high. Measure the resistance on the sensor first. If it does not meet the required standards, the sensor must be replaced.

Error code F4

Defective hot water temperature sensor. The electronics of the Protherm Lynx boiler notifies the F4 error if a malfunction of the DHW temperature sensor occurs or the temperature necessary for stable operation has noticeably increased. If a breakdown of the DHW temperature sensor is revealed, it will need to be changed. Rupture of contacts between the hot water temperature sensor and the control module. Check the contacts of the electrical circuit and look for defects. If the contacts between the temperature sensor and the board do not have breaks, the temperature sensor itself is working, but the F4 error is generated, therefore, it can be argued that the control module is broken.

Error code F29

Failure of the burner during ignition. Error F29 reports that ignition is not performed due to the burner flame breaking off. Inspect the electrical contacts from the ignition unit to the flame electrode or from the gas valve to the control module. Restore the electrical contacts if any problems are found. In addition, insufficient draft can cause malfunctions that lead to flameout. Check the chimney for blockages.
