Gibson Oven Error Codes Fault codes are programmed in all range and wall oven models which feature electronic oven controls. These codes help Appliances Factory Service technicians quickly diagnose issues with the range or wall oven. In the event that the electronic control displays a fault code, a trained Service Technician should be called to diagnose and correct the issue. A summary of the most common fault codes and their meanings are listed below. We cannot provide all the fault codes for past and present models.

Note: Depending upon the brand of appliance, there can be many different names for the ‘clock’ component. Electronic Range Control, ERC, Electronic Oven Control, EOC, control board, and clock all refer to the same part.

F0 – Oven Control Failure – Replace control board (clock).

F1 – Oven Control Failure – Replace control board (clock).

F2 – Oven Temperature Too Hot – Check and replace oven temperature sensor (RTD).

F3 – Open Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD) – Check the connection between the oven control and oven sensor, as well as the sensor harness. If wiring is ok, replace oven temperature sensor (RTD).

F4 – Shorted Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD) – Check the connection between the oven control and oven sensor, as well as the sensor harness. If wiring is ok, replace oven temperature sensor (RTD).

F5 – Oven Control Failure – Replace control board (clock).

F6 – Oven Control Failure – Replace control board (clock).

F8 – Oven Door Lock Failure – Check door lock switches and wiring.
